Happy World Giraffe Day!

It may come as a surprise to see me produce some digital art, as I’ve professed watercolour to be my speciality. However, I also love to experiment with different art mediums such as oil and digital painting. Painting is definitely more than just work for me, it’s also my life’s passion.

The artwork above is a digital painting I created on Pro Create (definitely recommend). I got into digital painting because my boyfriend bought me one of those digital apple pens for Christmas a year ago and my illustrator friends had recommended using Pro Create. I’ve been fixated ever since!

I decided to digitally paint a giraffe for fun, for World Giraffe Day, and in the end, I thought it would be good to auction a special edition print of it in aid of the Giraffe Conservation Fund. The auction commenced on eBay from the 17th June and will finish on the 24th June.

I hope to carry on this tradition for other ‘world animal days’, as it’s a good way to raise funds for animal conservation. The video below reveals a quick insight into my digital, painting process.
